We recently discovered this hidden gem, and it has quickly become our go-to spot for authentic Mexican food. I don't think it's been open for too long, but it's already serving up some of the best quesabirrias and tacos de canasta I've ever had. The quesabirrias are perfectly crispy on the outside, loaded with tender, flavorful birria, and come with a rich consommé that takes them to the next level. The tacos de canasta are just as impressive--soft, packed with flavor, and exactly what you want for a quick, satisfying bite. I've been coming here every Sunday for the past month, and I've lost count of how many times I've stopped by during the week. If you're looking for a great deal, they have $1 tacos de canasta on Wednesdays, which makes it even harder to stay away. The service is friendly, the food is consistently great, and the prices are more than fair. Oh and you can grab a michelada while you're at it!

After having a disappointing experience at another restaurant, we called Casa De Luz to see if they could accommodate our party of 13. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and efficient. We had no issues with seating, and our orders were taken promptly without feeling rushed. The food? Absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their dishes. On top of the great food and service, the prices were very reasonable, making the entire experience even better. We couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable dining experience. If you’re looking for a place that values its customers and serves fantastic food, Casa De Luz is the place to go! We’ll definitely be back!

Authentic Mexican restaurant close to Chicago. The tacos were fresh and super delicious! They also came along with 4 different types of salsas to try. Great variety of selections on the menu and I will definitely come back next time I'm in town. If you're in the area you should make it a point to stop by, you won't be disappointed.
